Simple Machines
We love our science here! Simple machines are a great, easy lesson to teach kids about force and work - and can be done with things you can find around the house. Make a pulley out of cups and twine, make an inclined plane with a baking sheet, have them make a cart out of Legos with wheels and axels, then take them out to the see-saw for a lever... And if you need some help, there are loads of great videos on YouTube for kids that explain simple machines.
