Are you struggling to figure out how to fill the time with the kids? We have a curated list of fun things to do with younger children (and maybe some cynical older ones might deign to join in...)
A few notes:
- We will try to post activities that we have done successfully, or at least had fun with when we tried it. Your family may be different! Not everybody enjoys the same thing.
- We will try to post things that require "around the house" materials but sometimes, it will need that special ingredient. If we know of an easy substitute, we'll recommend it. Otherwise, we'll try to link to another activity.
- We acknowledge that not everyone has access to a backyard or a safe park or expensive equipment. We'll do our best to post things that most everyone can do.
- Always be safe for your family! Don't let your kids eat/touch/play with things they may be allergic to or are hot or sharp! Safety first, always!
- Most importantly: HAVE FUN! As I tell my kids, if it's not fun, don't do it!
